Do you need more clothes?

I know we get pleasure from buying new clothes to wear with everything that has gone on with the lockdown have you coped without buying new clothes? I have to admit wearing small set of clothes with great regularity quite happily. I know I was painting and gardening etc so they were not by best set of clothes. When I wanted to wear something wih a bit of colour for a zoom session I found some clothes that I had forgotten I had. So thinking of the environment. Patrick Grant stated on the this years ‘Great Sewing Bee’ TV program  ‘there is enough clothing in the world to clothe 6 generations’. So could you wear the clothes you have more times? Have you in the lockdown had a wardrobe clear out where you found things you had forgotten you had? Did you found things that you will never wear again?

Would you please rethink before you buy more clothes – do you really need this new item of clothing? What would make you reconsider buying it? Can you restyle items from your wardrobe to make it your new most worn loved bit of clothing? Patrick grant also said that at the time of showing of the ‘Great British Sewing Bee’ TV program there were no sewing machines available to buy in the UK so some restyling, recycling is going on.

Can you create a new outfit by changing the accessories? So consider not buying the new outfit just a new accessorie if you must.

‘What you wear shows people how to treat you’.

Have fun. Keep safe x
